  • How long will it take to hear from you after filling in the enquiry booking form?

During the working week UKEAS will reply to you within 24 office hours to make an appointment with you.

  • When I visit UKEAS for my counseling session, what should I bring?

Bringing your school transcripts, IELTS score, study plan, reference letters and portfolio (where applicable), will greatly accelerate the process of your application.  However, if you don’t currently have all of this paper work ready, feel free to just come to our office for some initial counseling on how to prepare your application documents.

  • If my English is not great, will I still be able to study in the UK?

Academic courses in the UK are generally very intensive. An undergraduate degree course usually takes three years to complete (except in Scotland) and a taught postgraduate course usually takes one year to complete, although please note that this doesn't mean students in the UK learn less than in other countries. They need to spend less time on the same amount of work so they have to work hard to successfully graduate.
Given their long experience, universities and colleges in the UK know exactly what level of English you will need to complete their courses, which is why they need you to meet their English requirements. As such you should take an IELTS test to gauge your current English level. This is a test to examine a student's English proficiency and to find out which aspect of their linguistic skillset the student needs to improve, and how long it should take to do that. If you don't meet the school's IELTS requirement, the school admission office will give you a conditional offer dependent on you taking a short- or long-term language course (otherwise known as a pre-sesssional course) based on your IELTS scores. Many students receive conditional offers. These conditions are not set to make your life difficult but to assure that your UK study experience is as enjoyable as possible.

  • Do I need to pay for applications?

No. UKEAS offers a FREE service! However, some universities do require application fees (Nottingham Business programmes, Cranfield MBA…..). Please contact UKEAS offices for more details.

  • Is there a deadline for master's programme application?

Most programmes do not have deadlines. Only a few courses in some universities do (for example Royal College of Art, Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, UCL, music courses and some art courses….). Please contact UKEAS offices for more details.

  • When should I take IELTS test?

The sooner the better to meet the target school's requirement!!

  • When should I apply?

In general it’s better to make your applications within one month of counseling with your UKEAS counsellor. Get all of your documents ready (IELTS score can be submitted later) first and come to our office to fill out the application forms.  You will then have more time for your IELTS preparation.
